To create a powerful network of Black women dedicated to advancing social, economic, and political change, and to fostering environments where Black women’s voices, experiences, and achievements are celebrated and amplified.

From advocacy and mentorship to wellness programs and economic empowerment, we provide a range of services to support the growth and success of Black women.

Legacy Builder Freedom School

Legacy Builders Freedom School is a free, culturally grounded educational program and an initiative of the Legacy League of Black Women. Inspired by the Freedom Schools of the Civil Rights Movement, the program serves students in grades 6–12 and centers African American history and culture while building literacy, leadership, and community awareness.

 

The school officially launches on February 21, 2026, helping young people develop strong identities and lasting legacies.
